Black Friday may have become cyber this year, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t savings to be had. To help you out I’ve scoured the web for the best camera kits at the best prices. Whether you want a cheeky present for yourself or you’re looking to buy something for your camera-curious friends and family, read on for my personal 2020 Black Friday recommendations.
Fujifilm Instax SQ6 – was £129.99, now £89
A perfect gift for the enthusiast or the aesthetic individual, the Fujifilm Instax series has become a bit of a modern icon. The Instax is Fuji’s answer to the instant camera and is based off of the Polaroid. Just like the Polaroid, it shoots, develops and prints photos. The SQ6 comes with some handy features too, such as exposure correction, three separate shooting modes, colour filters for the flash, and a mirror on the front for taking selfies. This deal won’t stick around for long with many retailers already selling out.

The Fuji X-E3 is a compact rangefinder-style camera that’s perfect for someone who wants a top-quality camera that doesn’t take up too much space. It has Fuji’s beautiful 24.3 megapixel X-Trans CMOS III APS-C sensor, 4K video capabilities and a touch screen. With a dense plastic and metal construction, this camera is sure to perform for years to come. It takes Fuji’s excellent XF lenses so you have plenty of upgrade options.

A tiny 35mm camera with a ludicrous 170° fisheye lens. Perfect for skateboarding portfolios and 90s grunge album covers.

Neptune Convertible Art Lens System – was £499, now £381.65
I’ll admit, this lens system probably isn’t for everyone. With its unusual modular element system, you can have 35mm, 50mm and 80mm. It has macro-focus capabilities and two aperture mechanisms for maximum creativity. It’s a niche system, but undoubtedly fun.

Fujifilm GFX 50s – was £4,899, now £3,999
If money is no object and you want to impress your pro photographer friends, this is the camera for you. The GFX 50s is arguably the most affordable and impressive medium format camera on the market today. Inside its DSLR-sized body lies a staggering 50-megapixel 43.8mm x 32.9mm sensor. Purists will tell you that the sensor isn’t a true medium format sensor, but they’re just jealous. With £900 off, it’s a seriously impressive piece of kit for the price.
