In celebration of National Apprenticeship Week, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on my journey as a Business Administration apprentice at Social, made possible through The Growth Company.
As my apprenticeship nears its end, I can honestly say I wouldn’t change a thing. I’ve felt supported every step of the way, and thanks to my tutor at The Growth Company, no question has ever gone unanswered. I’m also incredibly lucky to be surrounded by my team at Social that has backed me beyond belief.
Over the past nine months at Social, I’ve truly loved being part of a company whose culture aligns so closely with my personal values. The supportive and dynamic environment has not only made me feel at home but has also encouraged me to challenge myself constantly. Pushing beyond my comfort zone has been both daunting and rewarding, allowing me to grow in ways I never imagined—both professionally and personally.
I work closely with the People and Finance teams and love getting involved in any creative projects that come my way. I really enjoy expressing my creativity, whether through design, content, or brainstorming new ideas. I also love helping to organise internal events, such as our quarterly all-staff gatherings, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. I hope to continue growing in this industry, refining my people and communication skills, and carving out my own path.
This opportunity, which I stumbled across last year when I was close to giving up due to a lack of experience and countless rejections, has truly been life-changing. I’m so grateful to Social for taking a chance on me.
